Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about cardboard.stack.
Buying
How much does each card cost?
Every card on cardboard.stack is $1. No exceptions, no auctions, no negotiating. The price is always $1.
How does the swipe deck work?
Browse cards in the deck view — swipe right (or tap the stash button) to add a card to your box, swipe left to pass. You can also tap the card to see the full details, flip it to see the back, and expand the info panel for player and set information.
What's a "box"?
Your box is like a cart — it holds all the cards you've stashed from sellers until you're ready to check out. Cards from multiple sellers go into the same box. When you check out, you pay once and everything ships together.
Can I buy from multiple sellers at once?
Yes. Your box aggregates cards from any number of sellers. You pay a single order total and the cards ship in one package — we handle coordinating the fulfillment.
What sports and sets are available?
Availability depends on what sellers list. You'll find baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and more. Use the filters on the browse page to narrow by sport, player, or condition.
What condition are the cards in?
Each listing includes a seller-assigned condition grade from Raw Poor to Raw Mint. Photos of both the front and back (when provided) are included with every listing so you can judge for yourself before adding to your box.
Selling
How do I list cards for sale?
Sign up for a free account, navigate to Sell, and upload photos of your cards. Our AI will read each card and suggest the player name, year, set, and sport — you review and confirm, then publish. Cards go live at $1 each.
How does the AI fill feature work?
When you upload a card photo, we send it to Claude (Anthropic's AI) which analyzes the image and suggests metadata — player name, year, set name, card number, sport, and condition. You can accept the suggestions as-is or edit any field before publishing.
Can I upload multiple cards at once?
Yes — you can batch upload up to 100 cards in a single session. Each card gets its own AI fill form that you can review individually before listing.
When do I get paid?
Payment processing and seller payout details are coming soon. We're in early access — reach out if you have questions about selling at scale.
Can I list cards as drafts before publishing?
Yes. When you upload, you can save cards as drafts to review later, or publish them as active immediately. Switch between draft and active status any time from your seller dashboard.
Shipping & Orders
How is shipping calculated?
Shipping is a flat fee per order regardless of how many cards you buy. The exact rate is shown at checkout before you confirm payment.
How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping timelines apply once your order ships. You'll get a tracking number when your box is dispatched.
Can I return or exchange a card?
Because cards are $1 each, returns are handled case-by-case. If a card arrives significantly not as described, contact us and we'll make it right.
Account & Privacy
Is cardboard.stack free to join?
Yes. Creating a buyer account is completely free. Seller accounts are also free — you only pay when cards sell.
How do I sign in?
We use Clerk for authentication. You can sign in with email/password or your existing Google or social accounts.
Is cardboard.stack part of a larger network?
